You MUST try this restaurant!
Having originally stopped here just for a cold beer whilst walking down the coast we were shown the menu and had it explained (in a very passionate and enthusiastic way – not patronizing or a hard sell).
Having looked at the menu we decided that we had to go back – so the next night we went back for dinner as promised.
We were not disappointed in the slightest! We both had local lamb dishes and took the matching wine recommendation (just the house red, slightly lighter to let the food express itself better – no push to the more expensive bottles that we’d been looking at).
It’s easy to see why they’re now in the 41st year of trading with the same family in place. The service was simply amazing. Friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble. Though not cheap, you are getting unbelievable value for money.
We cannot praise the owner and the chef enough – we even went back for dinner on the last night of our holiday as the perfect end to a great week.
Their sister restaurant Amvrosia is also well worth a visit – the two brothers each recommend the others restaurant and both are worth listening to and dining with!
